Dr. Jan Christoph

I investigate the origins and underlying mechanisms of heart rhythm disorders such as atrial and ventricular fibrillation. In my research, I focus on the development of novel imaging techniques for visualizing heart rhythm disorders. My research interests also include very generally biophysics, the nonlinear dynamics of complex biological systems, structure and pattern formation, computer vision and simulations. I am currently working at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in the Max Planck Research Group Biomedical Physics and at the Center for Cardiovascular Research in Göttingen (DZHK).
